We offer solid white tents & canopies. Our tents utilize a blockout material that reduces the heat beneath the tent on hotter days, and eliminates shading problems that occur with more translucent fabrics. Our Tidewater Sailcloth tents use a sailcloth material that enhances daytime events with natural light. Our translucent peak century tents provide a blend of the blockout material
benefits with additional light from its translucent strip.
We stock 10', 15’, 20’, 30’, 40’, 50', 60' and 80’ wide tents in varying lengths in frame tents or Century tents. We offer the Tidewater Sailcloth tents in 32', 44' and 51' widths in varying lengths.
The capacity of a tent or canopy will vary with each events particular needs. We prefer to discuss an event with the customer so we can recommend an appropriate size. This is a reason why we do not have a list of tents with corresponding seating capacity. For instance, a 30’ x 60’ tent can seat up to 200 people for a company picnic, but may only accommodate 80 to 90 guests for a typical wedding reception. There are some general guidelines found in our event planning section - but we recommend that you contact us for the best estimation of your needs.
Measuring & evaluation of a tent site is available - please inquire for this service. In general a tent site should be flat, level, dry (has good drainage), free of overhead obstructions, and mostly ledge free.
All tents require additional room beyond their size for staking and erection. For a pole style tent 10 to 12 feet should be added to both of the dimensions of a tent to allow for this room. Frame tents can be installed in smaller areas - sometimes areas not much larger than the tent itself - but they still require additional space beyond their dimensions. Contact us to discuss any space concerns for your tent site.
All tents require anchoring to the ground - in the case of a pole tent for structural support - in the case of a frame tent so that they are tethered to the ground. The recommended method of anchoring a tent is with stakes driven into the ground surface. Some frame tents may have the option of being weighted down instead of staked. Call us to discuss this option. Customer must notify us of the location of any underground utilities, septic systems, or irrigation systems. The customer should contact Dig Safe at 1-888-344-7233 to have local utilities mark off any underground services. This is a free service that requires 72 business hours notice.
The rental cost of a tent or canopy depends on the size, style, location, and occasionally the logistics. Please contact us for a quote.
All tent rentals except for the Tidewater Sailcloth tents come with solid white walls for use in the event of inclement weather - clear, mesh, or window sidewalls are available for an additional charge. Canopy rentals do not include sidewalls in the base price - they are available as an option. Sidewalls can be put on or removed as needed - they are not permanently attached. Sidewall needs are determined by the events date, time of day, sidewall utilization, and inevitably the weather that day. We would be happy to discuss your events parameters to help assist with choosing the proper sidewalls.
We generally deliver and install a tent order sometime on the Tuesday to Friday prior for a weekend event. We will contact you in advance with a delivery day and time period. We give wedding rentals a priority for delivery between Tuesday and Thursday to give
the customer adequate time to decorate the tent, work out seating arrangements, and have peace of mind that this aspect of the wedding preparation is complete. We remove the order one to two days after the event, but on rare occasions it may be longer due to weather or a heavily scheduled date.
A 25% nonrefundable deposit (minimum of 75.00) is required to reserve a tent or canopy order. The balance is due upon installation. We recommend reserving as far in advance as possible. Some tents may need to be reserved six to eighteen months ahead, while others can be ordered with only a few days notice. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
On tent rentals we prefer to have your final counts about 7 working days prior to your event. We will contact a customer on the Wednesday or Thursday of the week prior to their event for this information. Final payment is due upon installation.
Tent Rentals Typically include:
Installation and removal of the tent
Installation of dance floors, stages, lighting, fans, and heaters as applicable
Sidewalls attached to the tent or left at the site at the customers discretion as applicable
Delivery and pick up of tables, chairs, and any other rented items
Please note the dance floors are installed directly on the ground and will follow the lay of the land. It is important to have a level area for a dance floor. We do use wood blocks and shims to minimize movement and dips to a certain point - but inevitably the floor will mimic the ground it is on.
